Valley Sports ReportTIOGA CENTER — Tioga brushed off a third-set setback in a 3-1 win over Dryden here Friday night in IAC volleyball action.
The Tigers rolled to wins of 25-13 and 25-10 in the first two sets. After the Purple Lions pulled out a 25-23 win in the third set, Tioga closed out the match with a 25-14 win in the fourth set.
Brianna Lounsbury led Tioga with 12 service points and three digs, while Courtney Smith had nine points, including four aces, wight kills and three digs, and Vanessa Tunnicliff had eight points (three aces), four kills, and one block.
Irie Lynch had five points, 20 setter assists, seven digs and two blocks in the win, while Kate Kithcart had four points (three aces), two kills, one block, and four digs, Jade Keaty had three points (two aces) and seven digs.
Sadie Marshall added three points and eight digs for the Tigers, while Vida Rossi registered eight kills, three blocks, and two digs, and Kaylynne Miller chipped in with two points, three assists, and three blocks.
Tioga returns to action Saturday at the Corning Tournament.

Tioga 25-25, Dryden 8-22
Lainey Platukis led Tioga with seven service points (three aces), seven assists, and two kills, while Lizzy Seck had five points (three aces), three kills and one block, and Mya Freese added three points (three aces).
Maddy Rogers added three kills, while Alex Perry had three points (two aces(, Sophia Bozzo and Kendra Hale (two aces) had two points apiece, and McKenzie Rogers chipped in with two aces.
