THE VALLEY — Tioga football is in action against last year's Class C state runner-up Chenango Forks to headline a busy day of action that also includes the annual Waverly Girls Swimming Invitational.

FOOTBALL
Tioga (0-1) at Chenango Forks (1-0), 1:30 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off a season-opening, 41-26, loss to Delhi at home, while the Blue Devils topped Owego, 40-7.

Senior QB Sam Paske and junior tailback Brysen Frye present a formidable 1-2 punch in the Chenango Forks rushing attack.

Tioga ran for more than 300 yards in its loss to Delhi, but only completed one pass.

GIRLS SWIMMING
Waverly HOSTS Wolverine Invite, 1 p.m.: Also on hand for the Invite are Corning, Horseheads, Chenango Valley, Susquehanna Valley, U-E, Norwich, and Valley Central out of Montgomery, N.Y.
