IAC VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA REGROUPS TO TOP EDISON IN FIVE-SET THRILLER (22 PHOTOS) (2026-09-17)

TIOGA CENTER — Tioga re-grouped after dropping the fourth set to pull out a five-set win over Thomas A. Edison here Thursday night in IAC volleyball action.

The Tigers, now 3-1, lost the first set 25-15, but bounced back with wins of 25-16 and 25-21. The Spartans won the fourth set, 25-16, but Tiogawon the decisive fifth set, 15-10.

Brianna Lounsbury led Tioga with 11 service points, including a pair of aces, five kills, and 10 digs, while Kate Kithcart had six points, three kills, one block, and 10 digs, and Vida Rossi had five points (three aces), 11 kills, three blocks, and six digs.

Courtney Smith had four points (three aces), a team-high 12 kills and 11 digs in the win, while Irie Lynch had four points, 29 setter assists, one block, and 10 digs, and Jade Keaty had four points and a team-high 17 digs.

Sadie Marshall had two points and 12 digs for the Tigers, while Vanessa Tunnicliff added two points, two kills, three blocks, and two digs, and Kaylynne Miller chipped in with two digs.

Tioga hosts its annual Tioga Tournament Saturday.

Alexis Perry led Tioga, now 3-1, with 11 points, including five aces, while Lainey Platukis had four points, two kills, eight blocks, 10 assists, and six digs, Lillie Hermatuk had four points (four aces) and five digs, and Sophia Bozzo added four points, two kills, and three blocks.

Mya Freese had five points, two kills and two digs in the win, while Lizzy Sick registered six kills and one block, Maddy Rogers had two points and four kills, and Kendra Hale chipped in with six assists.
