NTL BOYS GOLF: SAYRE COMES UP 1-STROKE SHORT IN LOSS TO WYALUSING (2026-09-17)

WAVERLY — Sayre senior Shaine Strickland and freshman Kamdyn Schrader shared low-medal honors, but Wyalusing used superior depth in a one-stroke win here Thursday afternoon in NTL boys golf action at The Club at Shepard Hills.

Strickland and Schrader each shot rounds of 44 in Sayre's 185-186 loss to Wyalusing.

Senior Rommel Suba shot a 47 for the Redskins, while junior James Leonard added a 51, and senior Caleb Grover tacked on a 53.

Gabe Wheeler shot a non-scoring round of 56 for Sayre.

Noah Kilmer and Myles Kershner each shot rounds off 45 to lead Wyalusing.

Sayre returns to action Monday at Corey Creek Golf Course.
