Valley Sports ReportWHITNEY POINT — Tioga improved to 4-1 on the season with a hard-fought sweep of Whitney Point here Tuesday night in IAC volleyball action.
The Tigers won by scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 25-19.
Vida Rossi led Tioga with eight service points, seven kills, one block, and 10 digs, while Irie Lynch had four points 17 setters assists, three blocks, and two digs, and Kate Kithcart had four points, including four aces, four kills and nine digs.
Kaylynne Miller had five points for the Tigers in the win, while Courtney Smith had three points, seven kills, one block and four digs, Jade Keaty recorded 10 digs, Brianna Lounsbury had three points and six digs, and Vanessa Tunnicliff had two points, three kills, and two blocks.
Tioga returns to action Thursday at Newark Valley.

Tioga posted a convincing decision in the third set to post a 2-1 win over Whitney Point.
The Tigers posted a 25-23 win over Whitney Point, which rebounded for a 25-22 win in the second set. Tioga sealed the win with a 25-12 victory in the third set.
Mya Freese led Tioga with seven points (two aces) four kills, and two digs, while Alexi Perry had seven points (three aces) and four digs, Lizzy Deck had four points (two aces), three kills and one block, and Sophia Bozzo had four points, three kills, and one block.
Lainey Platukis had three points (three aces), 14 assists, and three digs, while Kendra Hale had three kills, three assists, and three digs, Maddy Rogers added four kills, Lillie Hermatuk and Amiya American each chipped in with four digs.
