Valley Sports ReportBINGHAMTON — Sophomore Meg Atanasoff won four events to lead Waverly to wins over Owego Free Academy and Chenango Valley here Tuesday afternoon in STAC Central Division girls swimming action.
Waverly topped Owego, 99-69, and Chenango Valley, 95-67.
Sophomore Brynna Twedt, Audrey Kellogg, and Natalie Steck were triple-winner, and sophomore Ayla Wheeler was a double-winner for the Wolverines, who improve to 4-0 on the season.
Atanasoff won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.0 seconds, and Brynna Twedt was second in 26.81 seconds.
Atanasoff also won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:04.94, and Wheeler was fourth in 1:19.55.
Atanasoff teamed with Twedt, Steck and Wheeler to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:01.4.
Atanasoff, Kellogg, Wheeler and Steck teamed to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:51.27.
Kellogg won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:21.8, and 7th-grader Arielle Allison was second in a personal-best time of 2:19.99.
Kellogg won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 59.15 seconds, and Allison was second in a personal-best time of1:03.36.
Brynna Twedt won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:09.37, and 7th-grader Kenna Twedt was fourth in 1:22.64.
Brynna Twedt and Kellogg teamed with Allison and Izzy Miner to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:27.68
Steck won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:16.12, and 7th-grader Liv McGee was fourth in a personal-best time of 1:29.78.
Steck finished second in the 200-yard IM in a personal-best time of 2:31.48, and Wheeler was fourth in 2:49.11.
Waverly returns to action next Tuesday when it hosts Johnson City.
