Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY — Junior Griff Walter shot low-medal honors to lead Waverly to a four-stroke win over Owego here Thursday afternoon in STAC Central Division boys golf action at The Club at Shepard Hills.
Walter fired a 42 on the par-37 front nine to help the Wolverines to a 233-237 win over the River Hawks.
Junior Daniel Brady shot a 43 for Waverly, while 8th-grader Silas Bennett had a 47, senior Daniel Fischer added a 50, and sophomore Trevor Allen tacked on a 51.
Logan Robinson had a non-scoring round of 53 for Waverly.
Hudson Brigham led Owego with a 45.
Waverly, now 4-4, travels to Johnson City Thursday.
