Valley Sports ReportLIBERTY — Sayre battled North Penn-Liberty, but ended up dropping a hard-fought, 3-0, decision here Tuesday night in NTL volleyball action.
The Mounties won by scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 25-21.
Junior Reghan McGaughey led Sayre with 13 kills and 12 digs, while senior Alex Schack had 10 kills and 10 digs, and junior Yhale Doon registered 31 setter assists, six digs, and one block.
Junior Grace Russo recorded 13 digs for the Redskins, while senior Azalea McClenny had four kills and two blocks, junior Emily Strickland added three kills and two digs, and freshman Ember Jones chipped in with two kills.
Sayre, now 5-6, returns to action Thursday at Towanda.
