TIOGA CENTER — Windsor scored three goals in the second quarter to take a 4-0 halftime lead en route to an 8-0 win over Tioga here Tuesday afternoon in Section IV field hockey action at Haggerty Field.
"We played a really good first quarter, only letting them score once, and that was with seconds left," said Tioga coach Aubrey Worthing.
"We held back a little in the second quarter and let them game get away from us," he noted.
"Our passing was good, we made a lot of good stops and clears on defense," added Worthing. "And, Vangie Decker did a great job in goal."
Elise Conway and Bella Birtch each scored three goals for the Black Knights in the win, and Ariel Morley, who scored the game's first goal with 2 seconds remaining in the first quarter, and Taitum Guarino each added one goal.
Windsor had an 18-1 advantage in shots-on-goal, and a 10-1 edge in penalty corners.
Vangie Decker recorded 13 saves in the cage for the Tigers.
Tioga, now 4-9, returns to action Saturday morning at Walton.
