ATHENS —— Senior Connor Davidson ran for two TDs threw for three, and returned a punt for a score — all in the first half — to lead Athens to a 58-0 win over North Penn-Mansfield here Friday night in NTL Large School Division football action.

The Wildcats piled up 354 yards — 117 rushing and 237 passing — in total offense on just 43 plays, while limiting the Tigers to  105 yards on 41 plays, with 62 yards coming on one pass play. Athens has a 22-8 advantage in first downs.

Connor Davidson ran for scores of 13 yards and 1 yard in the opening stanza. Senior Zach Fisher boot both extra points to make it 14-0.

Senior Brendan Cooke led the Athens ground game with 42 yards on four carries, while Connor Davidson had 38 yards on six carries, sophomore Shea Davidson had 16 yards on three carries, and junior Nolan Raupers added 12 yards on five carries.

Shea Davidson started Athens' 34-point second quarter with a 19-yard scoring strike to junior Kade Rowe.

Rowe hauled in another TD pass a two minutes later, this time a 24-yard toss from Connor Davidson. Fisher's fourth PAT made it 28-0.

Senior Gage Marmor got in on the act on the Wildcats' next possession, catching a 5-yard TD pass from Connor Davidson, then caught a 50-yard TD strike from Connor Davidson a minute later to make it 41-0.

The Wildcats forced NP-M to punt from its own end zone in the closing moments of the first half, and Connor Davidson returned it 30 yards for a TD. Fisher's PAT kick made it 48-0 at the half.

Connor Davidson completed 10 of 12 passes for 139 yards, and three TDs, while Shea Davidson was 5-for-8 for 98 yards, and one TD.

Marmor led Athens with six catches for 102 yards and two TDs, while Kade Rowe had four grabs for 67 yards and two TDs, senior Dom Robbins had two receptions for 23 yards, Cooke had two catches of nine yards, and sophomore Cy Yeager had one reception for 36 yards.

Raupers scored on a 1-yard TD run in the third quarter, and Fisher's PAT kick made it 55-0.

Fisher capped the scoring with a 41-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

Sophomore Eli Wayman and senior Lucas Persun had interceptions for the Wildcats, and senior Trig Noel recorded a QB sack.

Athens, now 6-1, returns to action Friday at Canton.
