SECTION IV GIRLS SOCCER: WAVERLY, TIOGA OPEN PLAYOFFS ON THE ROAD THIS WEEK (2026-10-19)

THE VALLEY — Waverly and Tioga will start the upcoming Section IV girl soccer playoffs on the road.

CLASS A
Third-seeded Waverly (5-7-1) will travel to Owego (10-2), Friday for a Class A semi-final match-up. Game time is 6 p.m.

Winner takes on top-seeded M-E (11-1) at U-E on Oct. 29 at 5:30 p.m.

CLASS C
Tioga, the 11th seed, travels to sixth-seeded Marathon (10-3) Tuesday for a 3:30 p.m. start.

The winner will play the winner of the match between third-seeded Southern Cayuga (11-2) and 14th-seeded Moravia (6-8) on Friday at 3:30 at the higher seed's field.

Trumansburg (9-1) is the top seed in the bracket, while Greene (11-2) is the 2-seed, and Notre Dame (6-5) is the fourth seed.
