District 4 Playoffs
Class 3A Semifinals
7-Loyalsock (4-6) at 2-Athens (9-1), 7 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 70-12 win over Sayre, while the Lancers dropped a 49-14 decision at Montoursville.
Athens has won eight in a row since a Week 2 loss at Troy, while Loyalsock has lost three in a row, and five of six. Three of of Loyalsock's losses came to Bloomsburg (10-0 by a score of 28-21), Shikellamy (9-1 by a score of 42-10), and Mifflinburg (8-2 by score of 32-27).
Section IV Playoffs
Class C Semifinals
Susquehanna Valley (7-2) at Waverly (7-2), 7 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a division-clinching, 48-6, win at Oneonta, while the Sabers dropped a 28-22 decision at home to Owego.
Waverly has won six in a row, outscoring its foes by an average of 48.6 to 15 in that stretch, while SV has lost its last two.
Waverly also lost to Owego, 35-34, and dropped a 35-13 decision to M-E, while SV's other loss was a 20-0 setback against Chenango Forks — the second-closest game the state's top-ranked Blue Devils had this season.
