WAVERLY  The regular-season league champion Joe's Marine / WJ Graphics Indians scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning, then held on for a 15-11 win over the Blauvelt Funeral Home / Waverly Pharmacy Dodgers here Wednesday night in Waverly Little League Majors Division baseball action.

The Dodgers took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Charlie Larrabee led off the game with a single, and scored on an error off the bat of Jake VanHouten, who also scored to make it 2-0.

Damien McConnell followed with a home run blast over the the center field fence to make it 3-0.

Bryce Bailey led off the bottom of the first inning with a single, and scored on back-to-back errors. Sean Bubniak followed with a two-run double to tie the game.

Two more Dodger errors led to two more Indians runs, and Lincoln Sharpsteen added a sacrifice fly to  make it 6-3.

After a walk to Bryce Rought and a double by Bryce Bailey, Brayden Talada ripped a two-run double to make it 8-3, and Evan Davies, and Bubniak followed with consecutive RBI singles to cap the rally.

The Dodgers closed the gap to 10-7 in the top of the third inning on a two-run double by Brady Blauvelt, and left the bases loaded in the fourth inning.

Talada put the game away in the bottom of the fourth inning with a two-out, three-run blast over the right-field fence.

Bryce Bailey had three hits, including a double, stole two bases, and scored three runs, and Talada homered and doubled, scored three runs, and had four RBI to lead the Indians at the plate, while Bubniak doubled and singled, scored one run, and had three RBI.

Carter Davies doubled and singled in the win, while Kaden Wheeler belted a two-run home run, Evan Davies singled, scored a run, and drove in two runs, Shea Bailey singled and scored two runs, Sharpsteen and Trenton Serafin each scored a run and drove in a run, and Rought crossed the plate once.

McConnell homered and singled, scored one run, and had two RBI, and Blauvelt doubled and singled, and had three RBI to lead the Dodgers at the plate, while Zach Vanderpool doubled twice and scored four runs, Larrabee singled twice, scored three runs, and knocked in a run.

VanHouten singled twice, scored one run, and drove in a run for the Dodgers, while Tyler Chapman and Cole Stanton singled and scored a run, and Joey VanAllen added a single.

The Indians finish the regular season at 10-2, while the Dodgers finish at 7-5.

The regular season wraps up tonight with the Yankees and Red Sox squaring off.
