THE VALLEY ó Itís another busy Tuesday of high school action with the marquee match-up of the night at Alumni Stadium as the Athens boys host Notre Dame on the soccer pitch.

Also at home, the Tioga girls soccer team wraps up the 2017 campaign under the lights, the Waverly girls swim team hosts Watkins Glen, and the S-VE and Sayre volleyball teams host league foes.

And, the Waverly, SVEC, and Tioga cross country teams are in action at Newark Valley in the IAC Divisional meet.

Notre Dame at Athens, 5:30 p.m.:
The Wildcats are coming off a 5-0 win over Galeton Wednesday, while the Crusaders edged Newark Valley, 1-0, Friday.

In their first meeting, the two teams battled to a 0-0 double-overtime draw at NDís Brewer Stadium.

SVEC (4-7) at Watkins Glen, 5 p.m.: The Eagles have won two in a row, including a 3-2 victory over Newfield Friday, while the Senecas dropped a 4-2 decision to Newark Valley Wednesday.

In their first meeting, SVEC topped Watkins Glen, 4-2.

Newark Valley at SVEC, 4:30 p.m.:
The Small School Division champ Lady Eagles are coming off a 7-0 win over Tioga Thursday night at Candor, while Newark Valley battled Notre Dame to a 0-0 draw.

Waverly (13-0) at Chenango Valley, 5 p.m.: The Lady Wolverines are coming off a 10-2 win over Watkins Glen, while the Lady Warriors dropped a 2-0 decision to stateís top-ranked Chenango Forks.

Watkins Glen (5-9) at Tioga (2-9), 7 p.m.: The Lady Tigers are coming off a 7-0 loss to SVEC Thursday night, while the Lady Senecas dropped a 10-2 decision at Waverly.

Newfield (3-9) at S-VE (3-9), 5 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Panthers are coming off a 3-0 loss to Waverly Thursday, while the Lady Trojans swept O-M.

In their first meeting, on Thursday, Newfield won a 3-2 decision by scores of 27-25, 25-20, 13-25, 17-25, and 25-17.

Williamson (7-3) at Sayre (2-9), 6 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Redskins are coming off a 3-2 loss at NEB Saturday, while the Small School Division-leading Lady Warriors topped Cowanesque Valley, 3-1.

In their first meeting, Williamson won a 3-1 decision by scores of 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, and 25-21.

Athens (2-8) at Wellsboro (13-2), 6 p.m. JV start: The Lady Wildcats were swept by Wyalusing Thursday, while the Lady Green Hornets swept Towanda.

In their first meeting, Wellsboro won via sweep by scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 25-17.

Watkins Glen at Waverly (6-2), 4:30 p.m.:
The Lady Wolverines are coming off a 97-78 win over Dryden last Tuesday, while the Lady Senecas topped Dryden, 100-80, on Friday.

In their first meeting, Waverly won at Watkins Glen, 96-90.

Owego at S-VE, 4:30 p.m.:
The Lady Panthers are coming off a 4-1 loss at Marathon Friday, while the Lady Indians were thumped 9-0 at Afton.

In their first meeting, S-VE edged Owego, 1-0, on sophomore Aspen Makelaís first varsity goal.

Waverly, Tioga, SVEC at IAC Divisional Meet, 4:30 p.m. @ Newark Valley:
The IAC South programs converge on Newark Valley this afternoon for the annual divisional meet.

Tiogaís Ezra Steele, Waverly,ís Collin Wight, and SVECís Levi Mickelson will vie for top finishes on the boys side, while SVECís Alicia Long, and the Waverly quintet of Brandi Welch, Sidney Tomasso, Olivia Nittinger, Reagan Vaughn, and Sheridan Talada will contend on the girls  

Sayre, Athens, Troy at Canton, 4 p.m.
