CANTON — The Athens girls and boys earned just one win — both teams beating Sayre, while the Redskin teams both went 0-3 in a triple-dual meet here Tuesday afternoon in NTL cross country action.

Troy 15, Sayre 49 … Canton 21, Sayre 37

Athens earned one win, while Sayre was shut out in a triple-dual meet against Canton and Troy.

Emily Arnold finished fifth in a time of 22:07 to lead the Lady Wildcats, and Kayla Hughey finished 10th in 23:26 to pace the Lady Redskins.

Caitlyn Powell finished 12th in 23:53 for Athens, while Sophie Adams was 13th in 23:54, Selkie Bishop was 18th in 25:44, Isabelle Menard was 22nd in 27:38, Abigail Thoman was 23rd in 28:33, Kendra Gorsline was 25th in 29:34, and Sierra Ardrey was 28th in 32:54.

Carrie Claypool was the second runner to cross the finish line for Sayre, placing 15th in 24:21, while Katie Winge was 24th in 28:46, Natalia Hill was 26th in 30:10, and Madison Romberger was 27th in 30:14.

Athens earned one win Tuesday in its triple-dual meet against Troy, Canton and Sayre.

T.J. Toscano finished fourth in a time of 18:31 to lead the Wildcats, and Josh McClelland paced the Redskins with a fifth-place finish in 19:05.

Sean Waltman (20:03), Tivon Liguori (20:05), and Mason Henderson (20:23) finished 14th through 16th, respectively, for Athens, and Griffin Jacobsen (20:45), Camden Allen (20:46), and Satchel Manchester (20:47) placed 20th through 22nd, respectively.

Brandon Herbst was 24th for Athens in a time of 21:31, Nate Gorsline was 27th in 22:01, and Ben Biles was 29th in 22:37.

Caleb McClelland finished 18th for the Redskins in a time of 20:42, and Logan Goudreau was 30th in 23:08.

Troy 22, Athens 34

Nate Quinn finished fourth in 9:56 to pace Athens, while Kyle Anthony was seventh in 10:08, Sander Bertsch was ninth in 10:23, and Jared Ammerman was 10th in 10:25.

Jake Courtney finished 13th in 11:22 for the Wildcats, while Reuven Gifeisman was 14th in 11:46, Mason Proctor was 15th in 11:47, Matthew Aquilio was 16th in 12:02, and Kaden Gorsline was 17th in 12:19.

Troy 26, Athens 29

Sayre’s Rozlyn Haney finished first in a time of 10:11, while Athens’ Karlee Bartlow was third in 10:21, and Sayre’s Madison Villanti was fifth in 10:28.

Emma Bronson finished eighth for the junior Lady Wildcats in a time of 10:56, while Olivia Bartlow as ninth in 11:02, Abby Pickett was 12th in 11:11, Affoue Yobouet was 16th in 12:02, and Isabelle Dahl was 20th in 15:54.

Sayre’s Corey Ault finished 19th in 13:30.
