TIOGA CENTER — The Odessa-Montour girls and boys took a major step toward repeating as IAC Small School Divisional champs here Tuesday afternoon with wins over Tioga in track & field action at Haggerty Field.

O-M 91, Tioga 50

Seniors Rachel Whitcomb, and Martha Schumacher were both double-winners, but O-M’s depth prevailed in a 91-50 win.

Whitcomb won the long jump with a leap of 14-feet, 7-inches. She also won the high jump at 4-feet, 10-inches.

Schumacher won the 400-meter run in 1:04.9. She also finished second in the 200-meter dash in 28.7 seconds, and senior Lauren Tinney was third in 31.5 seconds.

Schumacher teamed with senior Audra Jaye, sophomore Mackenzie Macumber, and 8th-grader Mariah Nichols to win the 1,600-meter relay in 4:59.3.

Senior Joanna Wood won the discus with a toss of 80-feet, 10-inches, and senior Kylee Thetga was third at 75-feet, 8-inches. Wood finishes second in the shot put with a heave of 27-feet, 10 34-inches, and Thetga was third at 26-feet, 3 1/2-inches.

Senior Emily Polo Rankin finished second in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.1 seconds, and Macumber was third in 18.4 seconds.

Eighth-grader Emme Hall was second in the 100-meter dash in 13.6 seconds.

Eighth-grader Julia Walsh finished second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:20.7, and Nichols was third in 1:22.1.

Jaye finished second in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 7-feet, 6-inches.

Junior Cameron Mushock finished third in the 1,500-meter run in 6:26.6, and Macumber finished third in the triple jump at 27-feet, 10-inches.

O-M 114, Tioga 27

Junior Ezra Steele was a double-winner, and Kyle Lunger won one event to account for Tioga’s three wins in a 114-27 loss to O-M.

Steele won the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:08.3. He also won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:15.1.

Kyle Lunger won the 400-meter run in a time of 57.9 seconds. He also finished third in the 100-meter dash in 12.3 seconds.

Freshman Evan Hubbard finished second in the 110-meter hurdles in 19.0 seconds, and senior Tony Passetti was third in 19.1. Passetti also finished third in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:08.6.

Alex Bloss finished second in the long jump with a leap of 15-feet, 8-inches. He was also third in the 200-meter dash in 26.9 seconds.

Ty Middendorf finished third in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 11:26.5, and 8th-grader Emmett Wood finished third in the shot put with a heave of 31-feet, 4-inches.

Tioga returns to action Saturday at the Moravia Relays.
