OWEGO Logan Bellis pitched a complete game and seven players scored runs as the Nichols-Tioga Little League 10U All-Stars defeated Owego 9-6 in the C1 division championship game at the Owego Little League 10U / 12U Tournament Sunday.

The win came in a winner-take-all game after Nichols-Tioga dropped a 15-1 decision to Owego earlier in the day in the double-elimination tournament.

Game 2
NTLL 9, Owego 6
Bellis struck out seven batters and gave up four hits and three walks in a complete-game effort to earn the victory.

Following a scoreless first inning, Owego got on the board with a run in the top of the second, but NTLL countered with four in its half. The bottom of the order came up big as Josh Rought, Landon Williams and Gavin Kithcart scored runs. Leadoff hitter Jack Bombard also found his way around the bases to make it 4-1.

Owego responded with a pair of runs in the third, but NTLL matched that number in its turn at bat. Garrett Godfrey started off the Tioga half of the inning with a run and Rought tallied his second run of the game to make it 6-3.

Not willing to give up, Owego plated two more runs in the fourth only to have NTLL come back with a trio of runs. Bombard, Bellis and Nick Slater, the team's 1-2-3 hitters, accounted for the runs to push the lead to 9-5.

Owego managed one more run in the fifth, but stranded runners at third in both the fifth and sixth. They also had a runner thrown out stealing third in the first and home in the third.

Game 1
Owego 15, NTLL 1 (4 innings)
Owego took command early, scoring six runs in the first inning to grab a 6-1 lead.

They added two more in the second, then sealed up the win with a seven-run explosion in the fourth.

Bombard scored NTLL's lone run.
