COLLEGE BASEBALL: TIOGA GRAD SKINNER EARNS SAAC AWARD (2018-07-29)
Valley Sports Report GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference has named Dakota Skinner its male recipient of the 2017-18 Student-Advisory Athletic Committee Member of the Year Award.
The annual awards were established in 2014-15 to recognize the multiple contributions of SAAC members throughout the NEAC.
The Tioga graduate, who recently completed his senior season with the Keuka College baseball team, graduated with a 3.92 GPA, made the Dean's List every semester and earned NEAC Scholar-Athlete honors every year. He was also recognized as an Academic All-District selection three times by the College Sports Information Directors of America. and was named by CoSIDA to the Google Cloud All-America Third Team for a second straight season, becoming the first Keuka College student-athlete to be recognized in back-to-back seasons.
On the field, Skinner ranked third in Wolves history with a .382 batting average and was fourth all-time with 126 career hits. He is a two-time NEAC All-Conference selection, earning first team honors in 2017 and second team accolades in 2018.
