NEW YORK STATE WRESTLING: TIOGA TOP SEED AT DIVISION 2 STATE DUALS (2019-01-20)

SYRACUSE - Tioga is the top seed in Saturday's New York State, Division 2 Duals here at the SRC Arena on the campus of Onondaga Community College. Action begins at 9:30 a.m.

Tioga (8-0) is in Pool A with eighth-seed Seaford (13-0) of Section VIII and unseeded Eldred-Liberty-Sullivan West (6-8) of Section IX.

Section VII champ Saranac (11-7) is the second seed and is in Pool D with Section II champ Warrensburg (22-4), the seventh seed, and unseeded Section VI champ Falconer (22-1).

Section VII runner-up Peru (5-1) is the third seed an is in Pool C with Section III champ Central Valley Academy (22-2), and unseeded Section V champ Canisteo-Greenwood (31-5).

Section I champ Pleasantville (18-3) is the fourth seed and is in Pool B with Section XI champ Mount Sinai (16-5), and unseeded Cod Spring Harbor (13-8).

The winner of each pool advances to the semifinals, which are slated to begin at 2:30 p.m. The finals are slated for 6 p.m.

Last year, Tioga dropped a 34-32 decision to Mount Sinai in the semifinals. Mount Sinai edged Canisteo-Greenwood 33-30 in the championship match.

Also returning from last year's field are Central Valley Academy, Falconer, Warrensburg, and Peru.
