BASEBALL
Waverly at U-E, noon: The Wolverines dropped a 7-4 decision to Athens Saturday morning, but bounced back with a 4-3 win over Sayre in the afternoon, while the Tigers topped Owego, 6-5.
Williamson (1-3) at Sayre (2-5), 4:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off losses to Tioga (10-4) and Waverly (4-3) Saturday, while the Warriors dropped a 9-2 decision to NEB Friday.
Sayre is 2-2 in the NTL Small School Division and leads Williamson and NEB by 1 game in the loss column.
Athens (6-0) at Wellsboro (3-1) , 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off wins over Waverly (7-4) and Tioga (2-1) Saturday, while the Green Hornets outlasted North Penn-Mansfield, 16-10, Friday.
Athens is 4-0 in the NTL Large School Division and leads Troy (4-1) and Wellsboro (3-1) by 1 game in the loss column.
SOFTBALL
Williamson (0-7) at Sayre (0-5), 4:30 p.m.: The Lady Redskins dropped a 15-0 non-league decision to Elk Lake Thursday, while the Lady Warriors lost 4-3 at Galeton Wednesday.
Athens (4-1) at Wellsboro (4-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Lady Wildcats are coming off a 2-1 extra-inning loss at Waverly Saturday, while the Lady Green Hornets dropped a 10-3 decision to NP-Liberty Friday.
Athens and Wyalusing are tied atop the NTL Large School Division with 4-0 records, 1 game ahead of Wellsboro (3-1) and 2 games ahead of Troy (3-2), Towanda (3-2), and NP-Liberty (2-2).
