TRUMANSBURG "” Senior Cole Jenner scattered seven hits in a complete-game performance to lead Waverly to a 6-0 win over Trumansburg here Tuesday afternoon in IAC baseball action.

Jenner allowed seven singles in seven innings, while striking out six and walking two to earn the win. He threw 101 pitches.

The Blue Raiders loaded the bases in the home half of the second inning on a pair of singles and a walk, but Jenner escaped unscathed with a strikeout.

In the top of the fourth, senior Montana Davis was hit by a pitch, advanced to second on a balk, stole third, and scored on an RBI single to left field by junior Ethan Stotler to give the Wolverines a 1-0 lead.

After moving to second on a passed ball, Stotler beat a throw to third base on a groundball off the bat of Jenner to put runners on first and third with no outs.

Freshman Caden Hollywood and senior Bradey Roney made it 3-0 with consecutive RBI groundouts.

Jenner pitched around two errors and a single in the fourth inning, thanks in large part to Stotler, who gunned down a runner at third base from right field.

The Wolverines added to their lead in the top of the fifth inning.

Seventh-grader Jay Pipher led off with a walk, and moved to second base on a single by junior Jalen McCarty.

After a sacrifice bunt by senior Colby Sindoni moved the runners up, Davis stroked an RBI single to make it 4-0. McCarty and Davis both scored on a series of passed balls to make it 6-0.

Trumansburg had two batters reach base in the sixth and seventh innings, but Jenner was able escape both jams to preserve the win and the shutout.

Davis singled, scored two runs, stole two bases, and drove in a run to pace Waverly at the plate, while Stotler singled, scored one run, and knocked in a  run, McCarty singled and scored a run, and Sindoni and junior Austin Ellers each added a single.

Jenner and Pipher each scored a run in the win, and Hollywood and Roney each had one RBI.
