IAC GIRLS GOLF: WAVERLY NOTCHES WINS OVER S-VE, LANSING (2019-04-22)

ITHACA "” Waverly's top four scorers, led by senior Alex Tomasso, posted the four lowest scores of the day as the Lady Wolverines recorded wins over S-VE and Lansing here Monday at the Ithaca Country Club.

Waverly, now 12-0 and winners of 110 consecutive matches, shot a four-player aggregate score of 183, while Lansing tallied 285 strokes, and S-VE carded a 295.

Alex Tomasso shot a 42 on the par-37, front nine to lead the Lady Wolverines, while sophomore Gabby Picco carded a 44, sophomore Sidney Tomasso added a 47, and junior Gianna Picco tacked on a 50.

Sophomore Haley Kittle and senior Lauren Newman shot non-scoring rounds of 59 and 62 for Waverly.

Jennavieve VanGalder shot a 58 to lead S-VE, while Annika Walle shot a 71, and Ezraela Belanger and Sydney Myrick carded 82 and an 84, respectively.

Waverly hosts Lansing, Johnson City, Corning and S-VE at Tomasso's Golf Course Tuesday afternoon.
