Valley Sports ReportTHE VALLEY - The IAC will crown champs on the rack & field, baseball diamond, and girls golf links today, while several local diamond teams wrap up their 2019 regular season.
TRACK & FIELD
IAC Championships, 4:45 p.m. @ Trumansburg H.S.: The Wolverines crowned five champions Thursday on Day 1, highlighted by sophomore Collin Wright's record-breaking performance in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Cora Smith was a double-winner Thursday, and junior Isaac Chandler, who won the 110-meter hurdles, is he prohibitive favorite to win the pole vault this evening.
BASEBALL
IAC Championship Finals
Waverly (13-6) vs. Edison (11-3), 5 p.m. @ Tompkins-Cortland Community College: The Wolverines are coming off a 1-0 10-inning win over Lansing in the semifinals, while the Spartans blanked Marathon, 3-0.
During the regular season, Waverly edged Edison, 4-3, in eight innings.

Athens (13-4) at Towanda (11-7), 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off
an 8-0 loss to Thomas A. Edison Saturday, while the Black Knights
dropped a 3-1 decision to Canton Thursday.

Watkins Glen (6-6), 4:30 p.m.: The Tigers are coming off a 3-0 win over
Newark Valley, while the Seneca Indians topped Dryden, 5-4, on May 9.
GIRLS GOLF
IAC Championships, 9 a.m. @ Tomasso's Golf Course: Waverly looks to continues its IAC dominance today with Alex and Sidney Tomasso, and Gianna and Gabby Picco leading the way.
SOFTBALL
Waverly (15-2) at Tioga (11-4), 4:30 p.m.: The Lady Wolverines are coming off a 2-1 loss to Edison in the IAC Championship game Thursday, while the Lady Tigers dropped a 3-2 decision to Newark Valley.
