IAC BOYS GOLF: SICKLER, LUTHER LEAD TIOGA TO 2-STROKE WIN OVER CANDOR (2024-04-16)
Valley Sports ReportNICHOLS — Candor’s Noah Banks earned low-medal honors, but Tioga had three golfers shoot 44 or lower to pull out a two-stroke win here Tuesday afternoon in IAC Small School golf action at the Tioga Country Club.
Banks fired a 3-over par round of 38 on the par-35 front nine at Tioga CC, but Tioga senior Evan Sickler, and junior James Luther each shot 41, and senior Tyler Roe carded a 44 to lead the Tigers.
Sophomore Owen Seaver and senior Brandon Rafferty each shot rounds of 49, and senior Levi Bellis tacked on a non-scoring round of 51.
Tyler Greeno shot a 42 for Candor while Kody Floyd carded a 46, and Max Fey added a 51.
Tioga improves to 3-1, while Candor falls to 2-1.
The Tigers return to action Thursday at Groton.
