ATHENS — Junior newcomer Jase Babcock won four events, and seniors Emma Pernaselli and Kelley Reid were triple-winners to lead Athens to wins over Williamson, NEB, and Canton Tuesday afternoon in a four-team NTL track & field meet here at Alumni Stadium.

BOYS
Athens 91, Williamson 48, NEB 33, Canton 17

Babcock was a quad-winner, while Reid won three events, and sophomore Brenden Comstock was a double-winner as Athens racked up three wins on the day.

Babcock won the long jump with a leap of 20-feet, while junior Peter Jones was second at 17-feet, 8-inches, and senior Davin Spencer was third at 17-feet, 2-inches.

Babcock also won the triple jump with a mark of 38-feet, 4-inches, while sophomore James Friend was second at 37-feet, 10-inches, Jones was third at 35-feet, 4-inches, and Spencer was fourth at 35-feet, 2-inches.

Babcock won the high jump, clearing the bar at 5-feet, 8-inches, while Friend was second at 5-feet, 6-inches, senior Josh Martin was third at 5-feet, 2-inches, and Spencer was fourth at 5-feet, 2-inches.

Babcock and Reid teamed with Mickley, and junior Brayden Onofre to win the 400-meter relay in a time of 45.89 seconds.

Reid won the 100-meter dash in 11.7 seconds, and junior Lucius Mickley was fourth in 12.46 seconds.

Reid won the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.41 seconds, while Jones was third in 25.23 seconds, and senior Jack Ryan was fourth in 25.64 seconds.

Sophomore Brenden Comstock won the shot put with a heave of 41-feet, 5-inches, while senior Josh Nittinger was second in 39-feet, 9 1/2-inches, and junior Caleb Nason was third at 36-feet, 6 1/2-inches.

Comstock also won the discus with a toss of 141-feet, 7-inches, while senior Kaden Parrish was second at 113-feet, 8-inches, and Nason was third at 109-feet, 1-inch.

Freshman Graham Wanck won the 3,200-meter run in a time of 10:46.06, while freshman Lucas Persun was third in 11:35.75, and freshman Alex Arcesi was fourth in 12:19.88. Wanck also placed second in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4:47.91.

Seniors Dane Bishop and Sean Clare, Persun, and freshman Matt Rossettie teamed to placed second in the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 9:35.04.

Sophomore Brian Tang was third in the 300-meter hurdles in 49.09 seconds.

Sophomore Chase Ingram placed third in the pole vault at 8-feet, and senior Dash Bishop was fourth at 7-feet, 6-inches.

GIRLS
Athens 99, Canton 31, NEB 30, Williamson 29

Pernaselli was a triple-winner, while seniors Emily Henderson and Abby Panek, and sophomores Abby Burgess and Lizzie Gorsline were double-winners for the Wildcats in wins over Canton, NEB, and Williamson.

Emma Pernaselli won the shot put with a heave of 32-feet, 2-inches. She won the javelin with a throw of 93-feet, 9-inches.

Pernaselli also won the discus with a toss of 106-feet, 5-inches, and junior Hannah Earls was third at 85-feet, 4-inches.

Henderson won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 17.6 seconds, and Gorsline was fourth in 19.08 seconds.

Henderson teamed with Abby Panek, and juniors Emma Renninger and Gretchen Schmieg to win the 400-meter relay in a time of 54.64 seconds.

Burgess won the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:01.08, and senior Mya Thompson placed fourth in 1:07.53. Burgess also won the 200-meter dash in 26.7 seconds.

Gorsline won the 300-meter dash in a time of 51.03 seconds, and Henderson was second in 52.31 seconds.

Gorsline teamed with junior Sara Bronson, senior Thea Bentley, and junior Addy Wheeler to win the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 4:29.91.

Panek won the long jump with a leap of 15-feet, 10-inches, and Thompson placed third at 15-feet, 3-inches.

Thompson won the triple jump with a mark of 31-feet, 1 1/2-inches

Sophomore Elizabeth Denlinger won the high jump at 4-feet, 6-inches, while sophomore Evelyn Panek was fourth at 4-feet. Denlinger placed second in the pole vault at 6-feet, 6-inches, while junior Emma Renninger was third at 6-feet, 6-inches, and junior Layla Grubb was fourth at 5-feet, 6-inches.

Sophomore Ava Hughes won the 3,200-meter run in a time of 13:26.77, and Bronson was second in 13:26.77.

Bronson placed second in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:24.59, while sophomore Ava Hughes was third at 5:55.28, and freshman Brielle Mayo was fourth in 6:30.96. Bronson placed second in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:29.4.

Wheeler, Bentley, Grace Ellsworth, and freshman Brielle Mayo teamed to finish second in the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 9:35.04.

Schmieg placed third in the 100-meter dash in 13.9 seconds, and Abbie Panek was fourth in 14.37 seconds.
