THE VALLEY — Wednesday’s docket was trimmed to four events by proactive ADs moving baseball and softball games up a day to Tuesday to avoid today’s rains, and one left to be played today has already been rained out.

All three of the remaining events on Wednesday’s docket are slated for Waverly, including a flag football game under the lights at Memorial Stadium.

SOFTBALL
Owego (2-3 overall, 2-3 STAC) at Waverly (3-2, 3-0), 5 p.m.:
The Wolverines are coming off a 7-2 win over Chenango Forks Monday, while the River Hawks dropped a 10-1 decision to Chenango Valley.

BASEBALL
Groton at Tioga
… POSTPONED: No make-up date has been announced.

FLAG FOOTBALL
Norwich at Waverly (3-0), 7 p.m. @ Memorial Stadium:
The Wolverines are coming off a 60-18 win over Chenango Valley Saturday, while the Purple Tornadoes dropped a 39-7 decision at Owego.

TENNIS
Chenango Valley at Waverly (0-5), 5 p.m.:
The Wolverines, who dropped a 6-0 decision at Norwich Monday, were swept by Chenango Valley in the season opener.
