ATHENS - Sophomore Ben Gambrell and junior Keegan Rude led a balanced Athens attack in a 64-40 win over North Penn-Liberty here Friday night in NTL boys basketball action.

Rude, junior Damian Hudson, and junior Aaron Lane scored four points apiece in the first quarter, but NP-L was able to keep pace and the teams were tied at 14-14 after the first eight minutes.

Gambrell scored 10 points in the third quarter, including a 3-pointer and an old-fashioned three-point play, to spark an 18-7 blitz that extended the Athens lead to 49-30 entering the final eight minutes.
