ATHENS LITTLE LEAGUE (MINORS): C&N BANKS TAKES LEAD EARLY IN 14-6 WIN OVER WILLIAMS TOYOTA (2019-05-06)

ATHENS "” C&N Bank scored five runs in the top of the first inning, and never trailed en route to a 14-6 win over Williams Toyota here Saturday night in Athens Little League Minors Division baseball action.

C&N Bank led 7-2 after 2 1/2 innings, and eventually stretched its advantage o 11-2 after 4 1/2 innings.

Troy Rosenbloom had three hits, including a double, three runs scored, and one RBI, while Nick Grazul doubled and singled, scored three runs, and drove in two runs, and Rodney Chapman singled twice, scored three runs, and knocked in one run.

Collin Dawson singled, scored two runs, and drove in one run for C&N Bank, while Alex Thompson singled, scored one run, and drove in one run, Brodie Walker and Dalton Hall each added a single, and Eli Chapman and Gordon Weaver each scored one run.

Rosenbloom started on the mound for C&N Bank, allowing two runs - one earned - on three hits, while striking out five and walking one.

Grazul allowed three runs - two earned - on two hits, while striking out six and walking two in 2 1/3 innings of relief, and Eli Chapman allowed one unearned run on one hit, while striking out two in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

Mathew Driesbaugh doubled and singled and scored three runs, and Dylan Saxon doubled and singled, scored two runs, and drove in one run to pace Williams Toyota at the plate, while Oliver Johnson singled and scored one run, and Ryan Cook each added a single.

Saxon allowed five earned runs on five his, while striking out nine and walking three in three innings on the mound for Williams Toyota, while Matthew Driesbaugh allowed four runs - one earned - on two hits, while striking out four and walking three in 2 1/3 innings of relief.
