SAYRE — Northeast Bradford scored six runs in the top of the second inning, and cruised to a 14-1 six-inning win over Sayre here Saturday afternoon in NTL Small School Division softball action.
The Lady Redskins took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on a one-out triple by junior Lexi Post, and a two-out line-drive RBI single by sophomore Allyssa Murrelle.
NEB answered with six runs on eight hits in the second inning to take a 6-1 lead, then added four runs in the third inning to stretch their lead to 10-1.
Gianna Quattrini stroked a two-out single in the bottom of the second, but it was Sayre final hit of the contest.
Lexi Post tripled and scored one run, while Murrelle singled and drove in a run, and Quattrini added a single.
Lindsay Moore earned the win for the Lady Panthers, allowing one run on three hits, striking out 10 and walking none.
Moore had three hits and three RBI to lead NEB at the plate, while Emily Susanj had three hits, including a double, and scored two runs, Chloe Baker doubled twice, scored twice, and drove in four runs, and Ellie Staats doubled twice, scored twice and knocked in two runs.
Sayre wraps up the season with a 1-18 record.
