The Lady Wolverines finished third in the team standings last year at States, which was held on the Bethpage Yellow Course on Long Island.

Waverly will be without two of its top four golfers this weekend.

Senior Alex Tomasso, a six-time state qualifier, and sophomore Sidney Tomasso will also be playing in the individual tournament.

Alex Tomasso tees off at 10:56 a.m., and Sidney Tomasso tees off at 11:44 a.m. — both on the first hole.

Their teammates will tee off on the 10th hole. Sophomore Haley Kittle foes off at 11:28 a.m., while sophomore Gretchen Sowle tees off at 11:52 a.m., and senior Lauren Newman tees off at 12:08 p.m.

SOFTBALL

The second-seeded Lady Wolverines are coming off a 3-2 nine-inning win over Windsor Friday in the semifinals, while the top-seeded Lady Sabers rallied to edge Chenango Forks, 7-6.

Susquehanna Valley owns a pair of wins over Windsor — 3-0 and 2-0 — early in the season.

This is Waverly’s first trip to a Section IV title game since 2013, and just the third in program history.
