THE VALLEY - The 2018-19 sports calendar is winding to a close, featuring just three events this week - the New York State Track & Field Championships, and a pair of New York State playoff games.

FRIDAY (2)
"¢  Waverly advanced five athletes in six individual events, and one relay to Day 1 of the New York State Track & Field Championships at Middletown High School.

"¢  Waverly softball will play in the state quarterfinals against the Section III champ, which will be decided Monday, at Carrier Park in East Syracuse.

SATURDAY (2)
"¢  It's Day 2 of the New York State Track & Field Championships at Middletown H.S.

"¢  Tioga baseball will square off with Section III champ Cooperstown Saturday at NYSEG Stadium at a time to be determined.
