ATHENS LITTLE LEAGUE (MAJORS): WILLIAMS TOYOTA TOPS C&N BANK TO SNAP THREE-GAME LOSING STREAK (2019-06-07)

ATHENS - Williams Toyota scored four runs late to pull out a 7-3 win over C&N Bank Thursday night, snapping a three-game losing streak in recent Athens Little League Majors Division baseball action.

The losses included a 10-9 setback to Joe's Marine of Sayre.

Williams Toyota 7, C&N Bank 3
Williams Toyota scored two runs in the top of the fifth inning to break a tie game, and two more in the sixth inning to finish off a 7-3 win over C&N Bank on Thursday.

Dylan Saxon singled twice and drove in two runs, and Oliver Johnson singled twice and knocked in one run to lead Williams Toyota at the plate, while Braden Reed stroked a pair of singles, and Matthias Welles and Charan Venkataswamy each had one hit, two runs scored, and one RBI.

Welles earned the win, allowing three runs - none earned - on seven hits, while striking out three and walking three.

Troy Rosenbloom and Nick Grazul each had two hits and one run scored, while Eli Chapman singled and scored one run, and Rodney Chapman and Isaac Wilcox each added one hit.

Grazul struck out 10 in 3 2/3 inning on the mound for C&N Bank, and Rosenbloom had four strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings.

Joe's Marine 10, Williams Toyota 9
Joe's Marine of Sayre built a 10-4 lead after 3 1/2 innings and held on for a 10-9 win over Williams Toyota Tuesday.

Maison Apgar stroked three singles, scored two runs, and drove in one run to pace Joe's Marine at the plate, while Braylon Slater singled twice, scored two runs, and knocked in one run, and Karter Green singled twice and scored two runs.

Brady Flynn singled, scored two runs, and drove in one run in the win, while Brendan Cooke singled, scored one run, and drove in two runs, and Carson Rockwell singled and drove in two runs, and Tanner Henry, Chase Wheeler, and Jamisen Gardner each drove in one run.

Ethan Hicks had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and scored two runs to lead Williams Toyota at the plate, while Eli Hicks stroked three singles, scored two runs, and drove in one run, and  Braden Reed had three hits, including a double.

Oliver Johnson singled twice, scored two runs, and had three RBI, while Dylan Saxon singled, scored one run, and had three RBI, Ryan Driesbaugh singled and knocked in one run, and Charan Venkataswamy and Braden Quinn each scored one run.

Gannon's Insurance 15, Williams Toyota 4
Gannon Insurance built a 7-0 lead through 3 1/2 innings en route to a 15-4 win over Williams Toyota Saturday.

Gannon' scored five runs int he top of the third inning for a 5-0 lead, then scored eight runs int he fifth inning to build its advantage to 15-3 through 4 1/2 innings.

Xavier Watson stroked three singles and had three RBI, while Elijah Hobday singled twice, scored three runs, and had three RBI, and Carson Rowe singled twice, scored two runs, and drove in two runs.

Adam Kemp doubled and scored one run in the win, while Riley Campbell singled, scored two runs, and drove in one run, Connor Davidson singled, scored three runs, and knocked in one run, Jacob Alexander drove in one run and scored one run, Keaton Sinsabaugh, Riley Harrigan, and Jackson Clark each scored one run, and Gabe Levering drove in one run.

Davidson had the best turn on the mind for Gannon Insurance, pitching 2 2/3 innings of shutout ball, striking out three and walking one.

Matthias Wells had three hits including a pair of doubles, and scored one run, and Oliver Johnson doubled and singled, and drove in one run to lead Williams Toyota at the plate, while Matthew Driesbaugh doubled and scored one run, Dylan Saxon singled and drove in one run, and Ryan Driesbaugh singled and scored one run, Charan Venkataswamy singled, Braden Reed scored one run, and Cylus Lantz, and Ely Newman each drove in one run.
