VALLEY ASA SOFTBALL (MAJORS): SAL LADIES AUX. WINS PAIR OF DECISIONS OVER MASCO (2019-06-07)

ATHENS TOWNSHIP - The SAL Ladies Auxiliary picked up a pair of wins over Masco to improve to 6-1 on the season in recent Valley ASA Major Division softball action.

SAL LADIES AUX. 10, MASCO 9
Kailey Bentley doubled twice, scored two runs, and drove in one run, and Courtney Wagner doubled, scored one run, and drove in two runs to lead SAL to a 10-9 win.

Destiny Henderson singled, scored two runs, and drove in one run for SAL, while Patience Boom and Hanna Shutter each singled and scored one run, Ella Chilson added a single, and Alexis Roberts and Emiley Chilson each scored a run.

Henderson and Wagner shared the pitching chores for SAL, striking out 13, while allowing just six hits.

Reagan Parrish and Jillian Bradley each singled twice and scored two runs, while Chloe Kirk singled, scored one run, and drove in two runs, and Braelynn Wood singled, and scored two runs. Mary Henry singled, and Lillie Kirk and Brooke Romig each scored one run.

Wood pitched four innings for Masco and struck out eight.

SAL LADIES AUX. 19, MASCO 5
Kailey Bentley and Courtney Wagner powered SAL Ladies Auxiliary to a 19-5 win over Masco.

Bentley was 3-for-3 with two triples and a home run, five runs scored, and eight RBI, while Wagner banged out three hits, including a pair of doubles, scored two runs, and drove in five runs.

Kaylee Peterson singled, scored two runs, and drove in one run for SAL, while Henderson singled and drove in two runs, Alexis Roberts and Gretchen Schmieg each singled and scored two runs, Patience Boom singled and scored once, and Emma Renninger crossed the plate twice.

Wagner struck out 10 in five innings in the pitcher's circle, and Bentley struck out two in one inning of work.

Jillian Bradley singled and scored two runs, and Braelynn Wood doubled and scored once to lead Masco at the plate, while Chloe Kirk and Bella Russo each scored one run.
