Sam Mennig wrapped up her collegiate career at Clarkson University with a strong outing, but a loss in the conference championships.
Clarkson finished off its 2019 campaign at 25-15 with a 1-0 10-inning loss to Ithaca and a 4-2 loss to Rochester in the Liberty League Championships.
Mennig was tagged with the decision in the Rochester loss. She allowed four runs - two earned - on seven hits over six innings, while striking out one and walking none.
On the season, she posted an 8-4 record with a 2.94 ERA. She struck 50 and walked just seven in 100 innings.
During her two-year career at Clarkson, Mennig was 12-12 with 95 strikeouts and 27 walks in 172 2 /3 innings.
In two years at Corning CC, Mennig was a second-team All-American as a freshman, and a first-team All-American as a sophomore.
