NTL VOLLEYBALL: NEB KNOCKS OFF SAYRE, 3-1 (2019-09-10)

SAYRE "" Sayre avoided a sweep in the third set, but Northeast Bradford pulled out the fourth set for a 3-1 win here Tuesday night in NTL Small School Division volleyball action.

NEB won the first two sets by 25-10 and 25-18. Sayre stayed alive with a 25-13 win in the third set, but the Lady Panthers closed out the match with a 25-23 win in the fourth set.

Senior Julia Boyle led the Lady Redskins with 10 service points, 15 setter assists, six digs, and two blocks, while senior Madeleine Dutra had 10 points, nine kills, and seven digs, and Madeline Wilson added eight points.

Senior Lexi Post recorded nine digs for Sayre, and junior Gabbi Randall chipped in with three kills.

Sayre returns to action Thursday when it hosts Canton.

JV: Sayre won the junior varsity match.
