SPENCER "” Waverly won its third straight match to open the season with a sweep of Spencer-VanEtten here Wednesday evening in IAC volleyball action.

The Lady Wolverines won by scores of 25-16, 25-20, and 25-10.

Adrianah Clinton led Waverly 11 service points, including six aces, and nine kills, while Chloe Croft had nine points and 15 setter assists, and Paige Lewis had six points, including five aces, five kills, and two blocks, and Sidney Tomasso added six points (three aces).

Morgan Adams added four points, four kills, and two blocks for the Lady Wolverines, while Maddy Goodwin and Aryan Peters each recorded six digs.

Sam Deppe led S-VE with 10 assists and four digs, while Daisy Vallely had five digs and three service aces, Lizzie Graham added three kills and two digs, and Ashleigh Morais had three kills and two aces.

Tara Perkins recorded two kills, two digs, and one block for the Lady Panthers, and Lydia Diboun recorded three digs.

Waverly returns to action Saturday at the Tioga Tournament, while S-VE, now 1-3, returns to action Friday when it hosts Edison.

JV: Waverly (3-0) rallied for a 2-1 win over S-VE in the junior varsity match.

Paighten Streeter led Waverly with 18 points, including five aces, and one block, while Aubrey Ennis had 11 points (four aces), eight digs, and two kills, and Michaela Lauper added seven points, four assists, and four digs.
