TIOGA CENTER "” Tioga got off to a fast start and rolled to a sweep of Waverly here Thursday night in IAC volleyball action.

Senior Giovanna Rossi served up 11 service points in a row in the first set, helping the Lady Tigers to a 25-12 win. They closed out the sweep with wins of 25-17 and 25-13.

Giovanna Rossi led Tioga with 15 service points, including four aces, seven kills, and seven digs, while senior Chloe Bellis had 13 setter assists, a team-high 10 kills, one block, and six digs, and sophomore Julia Bellis added four points and six digs.

Senior Bri Rossi recorded a team-high 14 digs and two kills in the win, while sophomore Moly Bombard recorded six kills, one block, and two digs, sophomore Emme Hall registered six kills and one block, Madison Macumber had three assists and two digs, junior Mary Taylor added three digs, and seniors Shaina Franks and Allyson Chapman chipped in with two digs apiece.

Senior Chloe Croft led Waverly with 12 digs and 10 setter assists, while senior Paige Lewis had 13 digs and four kills, senior Morgan Adams registered five kills and three blocks, and senior Adrianah Clinton added six points and seven digs.

Tioga, now 5-1, returns to action Monday at S-VE, while Waverly (4-2) is in action Saturday at the Johnson City Tournament.

JV: Tioga won the junior varsity match by scores of 25-19 and 25-15.

Lily Mesler led Tioga with eight assists and nine digs, while Brynn Hurd registered seven kills and two blocks, Reese Howey recorded five assists and five digs, and Austyn Vance chipped in with four points and two kills.

Aubrey Ennis led Waverly with five points and five digs, while Kennedy Herriman had five points, including three aces, and three digs, Taylor Hall had four points and four digs, Sydney Nierstedt added four digs, and Michaela Lauper chipped in with three digs.
