COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA GRAD BOWEN MAJOR PART OF CORTLAND'S 12-MATCH WIN STREAK (2019-09-26)

CORTLAND — Tioga grad Malley Bowen, a senior on the SUNY Cortland volleyball team, was a major cog in the Lady Red Dragons 12-match win streak that came to an end Wednesday with a 3-1 loss at Ithaca College.

In the loss to Ithaca, Bowen had four points, including one ace, nine digs, 10 setter assists, and matched a season-high with three kills.

In back-to-back wins during the streak, Bowen had a season-high 23 and 21 setter assists against Scranton and Rowan.

In a win over Valley Forge, Bowen had a season-high seven service points, including five aces. She also had a season-high for digs with 12 in a win over Redlands College.

On the season, Bowen, who has started in nine of 17 matches, has played in 58 sets and is second on the the team with 231 assists. She also has 37 points, including 27 aces, and 111 digs.

Cortland returns to action this weekend at the Gallaudet Worthington Classic in Washington, D.C.
