COLLEGE FOOTBALL: WAVERLY GRAD MILLER HAULS IN TWO TDs; UTICA COLLEGE FALLS 35-33 AT RPI (2019-09-26)

Peyton Miller, a senior on the Utica College football team, caught his second TD pass of the game with 19 seconds remaining, but the two-point conversion was unsuccessful in a 35-33 loss to RPI here Saturday night at East Campus Stadium.
Miller set season-highs with 12 receptions for 105 yards and two TDs in the loss.
Miller caught four passes for 28 yards on Utica's opening drive of the day, including a 5-yard TD catch to give the Pioneers a 6-0 lead. The PAT would make it 7-0.
Utica would up its lead to 10-0 early in the second quarter, then scored in the final minute of the half to take a 17-14 lead into the intermission.
RPI led 35-27 after a TD with 6:20 remaining in the game. After an exchange of possessions,
The Pioneers went on a 10-play, 67-yard drive, including passes of 20 and 16 yards to Miller. Miller's 1-yard TD catch with 19 ticks left trimmed the lead to 35-33, but the pass to Miller, who was being double-covered, on the conversion was incomplete.
On the season, Miller has 19 receptions for 277 yards, and three TDs.
Utica College, now 2-1, returns to action Saturday at Cortland. Game time is 1 p.m.
