WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: SAYRE GRAD SHAFFER RUNNING SECOND ON TEAM AT LYCOMING (September 26, 2019)

LOCK HAVEN - Sayre grad Claire Shaffer, a freshman on the Lycoming women's cross country team, finished second on her team in her first two collegiate meets.

In her first meet, Shaffer finished 31st overall in a time of 28:30.9 on the 6K-course at the Cougar Classic at Misericordia College.

Shaffer ran a personal-best in her second meet at the Lock Haven Invitational, clocking an at 28:01.04. She finished 312th overall in the 425-runner field.

Lycoming College returns to action Saturday at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University.
