Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY "” Waverly bounced back from a loss to powerhouse Candor Wednesday, with a quick sweep of Watkins Glen here Friday night in IAC South Large School Division volleyball action.
The Lady Wolverines, now 6-3, won by scores of 25-8, 25-7, and 25-8.
Senior Paige Lewis led Waverly with 12 service points and five kills, while senior Morgan Adams had 12 points, including eight aces, and junior Maddy Goodwin also had 12 points.
Senior Chloe Croft had nine points, 12 setter assists, and three digs for the Lady Wolverines, and senior Adrianah Clinton chipped in with five kills.
Waverly returns to action Thursday at Odessa-Montour.
JV: Waverly, now 5-4, swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-7 and 25-11.
Taylor Hall led the junior Lady Wolverines with 14 points, including eight aces, while Sydney Nierstedt added three kills, two aces, and one block, and Kennedy Herriman chipped in with four assists.
