UTICA — Waverly grad Peyton Miller, a senior on the Utica College football team, caught a pair of TD passes to help the Pioneers to a 34-28 win over St. John Fisher here Saturday afternoon in Empire 8 action at Gaetano Stadium.
Miller hauled in a team-high seven receptions for 87 yards, including a game-high 22-yard catch.
Miller had a 14-yard TD grab on the game’s first possession to give Utica the early lead.
Miller’s second TD catch was a 9-yard reception early in the fourth quarter to put the Pioneers up 34-14.
Last week, Miller was limited to two receptions for 21 yards in limited action due to an injury in a 44-12 loss to Cortland.
On the season, Miller had 28 receptions for 385 yards, and five TDs — all team-highs.
Utica College returns to action Saturday when it hosts Morrisville State.
