WOMEN'S COLLEGE GOLF: WAVERLY GRAD TOMASSO FIRES CAREER-BEST TWO-DAY SCORE AT HARTFORD FALL INVITE (2019-10-13)

BLOOMFIELD, CT. - Fresh off a career-best round of 79 in her last event, Waverly grad Alex Tomasso, a freshman on the Merrimack College women's golf team, shot a career-low two-day total recently at the Hartford Fall Invitational.

Tomasso shot an 83 in the opening round at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course, then fired an 80 on Sunday, Sept. 29 for a career-best two-day score of 163.

She finished tied for 37th, and was second on the Merrimack team, which finished 10th in the 11-team field.

Merrimack will be off the links for three weeks, returning to action for one more fall tournament on Oct. 20-21 at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic in Milford, Conn.
