ON TAP TODAY: ATHENS GIRLS PLAY FOR 8TH STRAIGHT NTL SOCCER TITLE (2019-10-14)

THE VALLEY "” Only two girls soccer game on the docket Monday, but one is a big with Athens hosting Wellsboro. A win will give the Lady Wildcats  their eight consecutive NTL title.

GIRLS SOCCER
Sayre (1-14) overall, 0-11 NTL Small) at Wyalusing (7-8, 5-4), 4 p.m.: The Lady Rams topped the Lady Redskins, 8-4, in their first meeting Wednesday.

Wellsboro (8-6-1, 7-4-1) at Athens (12-2-2, 9-0-1), 5:30 p.m.: The Lady Wildcats are coming off a 1-0 loss at Hershey Saturday, but set themselves up for another NTL title Wednesday with a 2-0 win at Troy.  The Lady Hornets dropped a 3-0 decision at home to Jersey Shore Saturday.

In their first meeting, Athens blanked Wellsboro, 7-0.
