THE VALLEY "” The Waverly girls swim team closes out its regular season, and the Athens boys soccer team plays it final home game, while the Waverly volleyball team is at Edison for a key IAC South Large School match-up, and Sayre volleyball plays at home.

BOYS SOCCER
Galeton (7-10) at Athens (13-3), 5:30 p.m.:
NTL champion Athens is coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Elmira Wednesday, while the Tigers topped North Penn-Liberty, 4-3, Tuesday.

Athens, which clinched its sixth consecutive league title, has a 35-game NTL match win streak, and is unbeaten in its last 64 league games.

North Penn-Liberty (3-11) at Sayre (3-12-1), 5:30 p.m.: The Redskins are coming off an 8-1 non-leauge loss to Benton Monday, while the Mountaineers dropped a 4-3 decision to Galeton.

In their first meeting, NP-Liberty rolled to a 9-1 win at home.

VOLLEYBALL
Waverly (10-4) at Edison (9-6), 5 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Wolverines are coming off a five set win over Tioga, while the Lady Spartans won a 3-1 decision over Odessa-Montour.

In their first meeting, Waverly prevailed in five sets. Edison has already avenged early-season losses to Newark Valley and Tioga in the last two weeks.

Three of the last four times these two teams have played the match has gone to five sets.

Williamson (2-12) at Sayre (3-12), 6 p.m. JV start: The Lady Redskins are coming off a 3-0 loss to Towanda Tuesday, while the Lady Warriors were swept by Wyalusing.

In their first meeting, Sayre won a five-set thriller at Williamson.

Athens (9-5) at Towanda (9-6) , 6 p.m.: The Lady Wildcats are coming off a 3-0 loss to Wellsboro, while the Lady Black Knights swept Sayre.

Four of Athens' five losses have come to the top two teams in the NTL - state-ranked NP-Liberty and Wellsboro. The other loss came in a five-set marathon against Towanda.

GIRLS SWIMMING
Waverly (6-4) at Watkins Glen (9-0), 5:30 p.m. JV start:
The Lady Wolverines are coming off a 93-83 non-league loss to Maine-Endwell, while the Lady Senecas topped O-M, 58-36.

In their first meeting, Watkins Glen handed Waverly a 94-73 home loss.
