MARATHON "” Waverly senior Sheridan Talada finished second in the rugged Seeded Division, and senior Elizabeth Fritzen finished in the top 20 here Saturday at the Marathon Invitational, and the remainder of the Lady Wolverines finished 15th in the Unseeded Division.

Talada clocked in at 20:00.9, trailing only Horseheads standout Samantha Woolworth, who finished first in 19:50.8, across the finish line.

Senior Elizabeth Fritzen finished 10th in 21:45.7, and senior Paige Ackley was 33rd in 23:08.7.

WAVERLY FINISHES 15TH IN UNSEEDED DIVISION

Sophomore Olivia Nittinger, returning from an injury, finished 39th in a time of 24:39.8 to pace Waverly's efforts in a 15th-place team finish, while sophomore Aubrey Akins was 95th in 28:53.5, seniors Rachel Ovedovitz (30:40.3) and Kaleigh Akins (31:09.7) were 101st and 102nd, respectively, and senior Morgan Lee was 108th in 32:38.2.

Marcellus claimed the team title with 97 placement points, while runner-up Jordan-Elbridge had 102 points, and Elmira finished third with 115 points. Waverly amassed 360 points.

Sophomore Mariah Nichols paced Tioga's efforts with a 70th-place finish in a time of 26:57.5, and sophomore Kate BUrrowes was 83rd in 27:43.6.
