LANSING — Sixth-seed Waverly kept its hopes of a Section IV, Class C title repeat alive with a sweep of Lansing here Tuesday night in the quarterfinals to advance to Thursday’s semi-final pool play action at top-seed Windsor.
The Lady Wolverines, now 11-6, won by scores of 25-11, 25-21, and 25-15 to earn coach Kesha Sinsabaugh, who is in her final year of coaching, her 100th career win.
Senior Adrianah Clinton led Waverly with 16 service points, including eight aces, eight digs, and four kills, while senior Chloe Croft had 10 points, including four aces, 16 setter assists, and eight digs, and senior Morgan Adams added 10 points and two blocks.
Junior Maddy Goodwin recorded seven kills and six digs in the win, while senior Paige Lewis had five kills and nine digs, and sophomore Aryan Peters added nine digs.
Pool play action begins at 4:15 p.m. Thursday at Windsor.
