LEESBURG, Va. — Sayre grad Sydney Beeman, a senior on the St. Bonaventure women’s cross country team, turned in her best career finish here Saturday at the Atlantic-10 Championships.
Beeman ran to her best career finish in the event, crossing the finish line in 85th place overall out of 131 runners with a 5K time of 20:08.9.
St. Bonaventure finished 14th of 14 at the A-10 Championships.
On Oct. 11, Beeman led the pack again for the Lady Bonnies, finishing 20th at the Jenna Strong Invitational, hosted by Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio.
Beeman clocked in at 19:14.4 — just three seconds off her personal-best time — in the field of 316 runners in the event. St. Bonaventure finished fourth in the 33-team field.
On Oct. 5, Beeman finished 50th in a field of 532 competitors to help the Lady Bonnies to a sixth-place finish in the field of 62 at the Louisville Classic, Beeman ran the eighth-fastest individual 5K time in program history at19:11.3.
St. Bonaventure will run at the Northeast Regionals on Nov. 15 at the University of Buffalo.
