Valley Sports Report
UTICA, N.Y. - Waverly grad Peyton Miller, a senior on the Utica College football team, made his last collegiate game one to remember, capping a brilliant career.

Miller matched a season-high with 12 receptions and set a season-high with 120 receiving yards. He also hauled in his eighth TD catch of the season in a 58-14 win over Hartwick College on Senior Day here Saturday afternoon at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium.

Miller and his fellow seniors at Utica College will leave the program as the winningest class in school history, delivering 22 victories in four years.

Miller closes out the regular season with 57 receptions for 682 yards and eight TDs. He also carried the ball three times for three yards.

For his career, Miller, who started at Utica College as a quarterback, had 158 receptions for 1,858 yards, and 15 TDs.

In just two-plus seasons at wide receiver, Miller ranks fifth all-time in receptions and receiving yardage, and third in receiving TDs.

At QB, Miller completed 46 percent (47 of 103) of his passes for 472 yards and two TDs. He was picked off six times. He also ran the ball 44 times for 109 yards.

The Pioneers finish the season at 5-5, with three losses coming by six or fewer points, including a 54-51 double-OT home loss to Morrisville State.

The 5-5 record makes Utica College eligible for bowl selection by meeting the minimum criteria, but the Pioneers would have to be offered an available spot in one of the four games sponsored by the ECAC on Monday to continue.
