NTL VOLLEYBALL: ATHENS' STACKPOLE EARNS FIRST-TEAM LARGE SCHOOL HONORS — TWO LADY WILDCATS NAMED TO SECOND TEAM (2019-12-01)

ATHENS "” Senior Cassidy Stackpole earned first-team all-NTL Large School Division all-star hoos, and two of her teammates - juniors Leah Liechty and Taylor Field - were named to the second team in recent voting by the division's coaches.

Sayre did not have a player selected in the Small School Division.

North Penn-Liberty's Maddison Minyo was the NTL "Player of the Year," while Wellsboro's Caitlyn Callahan was the "Offensive Player of the Year," NP-L's Ali Koval was the "Defensive Player of the Year," and Canton's Sheila Wesneski was the "Coach of the Year."

FIRST TEAM
Cassidy Stackpole, senior, outside hitter:
A strong server and good all-around player, Stackpole had a team-high 131 service points, and 56 service aces, to go along with 161 digs, 80 kills, and four blocks.

SECOND TEAM
Leah Liechty, junior, middle hitter:
A force at the net, Liechty led the Lady Wildcats in kills with 179 and blocks with 59. She also had 59 points, 19 aces, and 25 digs.

Taylor Field, junior, libero: A defensive specialist, Field was also one of the Lady Wildcats' best at the service line. She had a team-high 348 digs on the season, as well as 116 service points, 46 aces, and four kills.
